Welcome to my Web site. I hope you find it informative and useful. I also offer a free initial 30 minute consultation. I welcome the opportunity to talk with you and to discuss how I may be of service.

My office is located in Lakewood, where there is still plenty of free parking, and easy access to freeways, Puyallup, Fircrest, University Place, Steilacoom, Joint Base Lewis-McChord and Tacoma.

My goal is to provide you with high quality legal service in a timely fashion. I have deliberately kept my practice small so as to provide the kind of personal service that clients need during a very difficult time in their lives. We find that clients really appreciate this customer service. The best part of my job is being there as a client develops a happier, healthier legal life.

It is hard to define what makes a case successful when any outcome in these family situations necessarily involves some degree of loss, be it loss of one or more relationships, loss of certainty, or loss of at least some property interests.

Most clients want to see their cases resolve quickly and fairly. Typically, the most successful cases involve:

  • an actively involved client who works towards the future solution they seek;

  • reasonable expectations of, and patience with, the legal system; and

  • support for the client beyond our office, e.g. from friends, family, and perhaps a counselor.

Experienced Family Law Attorney

I handle legal matters in the following areas:

  • Family Law
  • Divorce
  • Paternity
  • Child Custody
  • Child Support
  • Prenuptial Agreements
  • Property Separation Agreements.

2020 marks my thirtieth year of private practice.  I am a recipient of the Avvo Client's Choice Award for several years. Click on the Avvo Award logo below and read the reviews by previous clients.

As your lawyer, I can secure disclosure of records and information, by subpoena and/or deposition for example, and ensure fairness and an "even playing field" in cases which are often emotional and overwhelming for a client.

In contested cases, the court system requires parties to fulfill numerous steps and meet deadlines in preparation for trial. Parties who try to represent themselves may be inadequately prepared by trial time.  Also, they may not know how to make legal objections or how to frame questions properly in trial.  I am objective and experienced in long-term thinking.  I am trained to detect critical issues so that your interests are protected.
